At today’s meeting we welcomed new members into our org, Pierre and Paolo, as well as welcomed back those returning members from last semester.

We discussed the following events coming up soon:

• Friday, Feb. 6th, 10am t0 2pm: Lettering writing at Kiosk C along with Amnesty International GMU, we will be writing to President Obama, reminding him to keep his promises regarding the human rights abuses by the LRA, as well as the northern Uganda humanitarian crisis. If you can’t make it during those times, click here to write your own letter online.

• Monday, Feb. 9th, 1:30pm to 4:30pm: We will participate in CANstruction as apart of Mason’s Homecoming 2009 celebration. Please come help build tin cans and non perishable goods sculptures!

Please join us next week, Feb. 11th, for the screening of Uganda Rising, a very detailed and informational documentary chronicling northern Uganda on going struggle.
